At Bosque Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, we pride ourselves on knowing Albuquerque. When it comes to HVAC, being familiar with the neighborhoods, the homebuilders, and the layouts of homes are essential to our work. Our knowledge of a particular homebuilder or elevation of a certain subdivision could mean the difference in the solutions we suggest. And since we know and love this area so much, we want to fill you in on some of the incredible things about this region.
The Best Outdoor Activities in Albuquerque
One famous feature of Albuquerque is the Sandia Mountains. Sandia Peak itself is just a short jaunt from the downtown area. It’s towering peak provides visitors and locals with the amazing Tramway. And hikers and outdoor enthusiasts adore this area for all kinds of recreation. It’s also home to Cliff’s Amusement Park, which provides fun for the whole family. Also, golfers can’t get enough of the 27 beautiful holes offered at Arroyo del Oso Golf Course.
The Fun and Educational Side of ABQ
Home to the UNM Lobos, southeast Albuquerque can have a bit of a more college-town vibe, but it’s still a hotspot for anyone. The Nob Hill area is not only a great neighborhood, but historic Nob Hill has tons of fun shops, galleries, restaurants, and bars. Historic Route 66 goes right through this area, so there are many nostalgic photo ops, neon signs, and diners to enjoy. Another great destination in this area is the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. It’s perfect for children or adults to learn about the region’s role in nuclear science.
Home of the Rio Grande
The Rio Grande River runs right down the west side of town, so naturally, much of the city’s longest-standing sites are near there. Old Town Plaza displays the real heart and soul of the city. The San Felipe de Neri Church is a historical feature, and you’ll find tons of culture and beauty in the plaza. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is right around the block from the Plaza. This museum is a great place to spend a day learning and exploring for all ages. And, the ABQ Bio Park Zoo and Botanic Gardens are also in this section of town, right on the river.
Albuquerque’s Past, Present, and Future
One of the most treasured places in Albuquerque is Petroglyph National Monument which protects tens of thousands of fascinating petroglyphs from centuries past. Currently, there are still many native peoples living in and around Albuquerque in New Mexico’s 19 pueblos. Celebrate native history and learn more about the Pueblo Indians at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.
Really, there are many reasons to love Albuquerque, and we are so thankful to get to be a part of this community and serve your HVAC and plumbing needs and beyond! Whether we’re out in the hills of Sandia Heights or soaking in the sites around the Rio Grande River, we love Albuquerque.
